好 收 穫 This year has been a great year for fresh fruit. In fact, I have had so much that I have brought a lot to work to share with my co-workers. I have the following trees and vines in my back yard:

櫻 桃 ying1 tou4 cherries
桃 tou4 peaches
李 lei5 plums
沙 梨 sa1 lei2 Asian pears
番 茄 faan1 ke2 tomatoes
葡 提 子 pou4 tai4 ji2 grapes
蘋 果 ping4 go2 apples
林 柿 lam4 chi5 persimmons
橙 chang2 oranges

When I'm in HK, I love to shop for fruit in the markets. That's something I'm really looking forward to next year. Last year when I was in HK, I tried a few varieties of fruit that I had not seen before. It will be interesting to see how many new fruit varieties I can learn next year.  ¶ 9:00 PM
